We currently have two worship services every Sunday:

08:00 AM This is a quiet service, using the beautiful structure of the 1662 Book Of Common Prayer. There is no music – instead we worship through the language and structure of the ancient words. There’s a sermon every week, as well as the opportunity to receive Holy Communion. This service finishes by 9 am.

10:00 AM This service takes different forms from week to week. At all our 10 am. services we aim to have sung worship in a mixture of languages, reflecting the diversity which makes St Peter’s such a special community. We usually read one of the bible readings in a local African language, and we encourage Africans to get involved with reading or praying in their home language at the pulpit. There is a special programme for youth (ages 2-15 years) during this time. This service finishes by 11:40 am, with coffee, tea and biscuits in the church hall afterwards.

We take Holy Communion every Sunday.

First and Third Sundays of the month

On the first and third Sundays of the month we sing hymns, accompanied by the organ.

Second and Fifth Sundays of the month

On the second and fifth Sundays of the month we have a service of Morning Worship which is slightly less structured  with music led on piano, guitar, etc.

Fourth Sunday of the month

On the fourth Sunday of the month we have our Community Worship service. This is a service for every age—we’re all together as a community. We have sung worship led on the piano and other instruments, a short talk, and the opportunity to share Holy Communion together as a church family. On these weeks, youth are part of the worship service rather than in their own programme.
